The US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce (USPAACC), a non-profit organization, participated in a day-long business trip to Shanghai, sponsored by Rockwell Automation (China) Co., Ltd. The trade mission visited the new Rockwell Automation (China) Co., Ltd. headquarter office, Research Center and Asia Pacific Shared Service Center.

Tom O’Reilly, Chairman and Managing Director, Rockwell Automation (China) Co., Ltd facilitated the presentation, ‘Rockwell Automation 20 Years in China’, which detailed the company’s history and achievements in China and answers attendees’ questions. Susan Au Allen, USPAACC-EF National President and CEO and other chamber members observed Rockwell Automation products and solutions including: integrated architecture, Allen-Bradley drives, Intelligent Motor Control products, safety products, essential components, push button products and customized OEM components. The mission also listened to the introduction of Rockwell Automation services, engineering capabilities and research center.

That afternoon members attended a forum of CEOs from USPAACC companies, at the Radisson Hotel Shanghai, which featured Keiran Coulton, President, Rockwell Automation Asia Pacific.  Couton’s keynote, ‘Manufacturing Convergence and Sustainable Production’, underscored the necessity and value of Rockwell Automation sustainable development strategies and solutions for customers, enterprises and society. The forum also featured: Jim Costa, Global Purchasing Vice President PepsiCo and Meiru Cai, Marketing and Communications Director, Sidel Greater China, who discussed global market status and development. The entire panel received positive feedback on the presentations.

Beatrice Camp, the U.S. Consul General in Shanghai, also attended the cocktail party.  In her speech she expressed her confidence in China market. The USPAACC mission members along with local enterprises managers shared their opinions on seeking development opportunities.
