Brooks Instrument announced that Mike Bayda will join the company as Global Level Product Manager effective November 30, 2009. He will lead Brooks Instrument’s efforts to enhance market penetration of the level measurement products around the world. He is joining Brooks Instrument from Lafarge Corp, a manufacturer of building materials, where he served as Director of Marketing and Sales. Bayda will report to Brooks Instrument Vice President Tim Scott.
“I am delighted to welcome Mike to the Brooks team,” said Scott. “This is an exciting time at Brooks with our level measurement product line. We’ve been working hard to grow our level measurement sales since we acquired the line from Mobrey in December of 2007. Now with the addition of Mike, we’ll have strong focus and attention on these products. His business development experience will be an invaluable asset in this long-term effort.”
“There are tremendous opportunities ahead for Brooks in the level measurement market,” said Bayda. “Brooks has great brand recognition in the process industry and a synergistic product mix covering a wide spectrum of flow measurement, control, and level applications. I am excited about helping Brooks gain market share, globally, for this product line. Brooks already has an outstanding sales channel and a major market position in the world that we will leverage to grow our level measurement business.”
Bayda, who is fluent in French, will work closely with the Brooks Instrument level measurement team in Vichy, France and the global sales force to accelerate the growth of Brooks’ level measurement products throughout the world.
