Temecula, CA - April 30, 2008 - Opto 22, a developer and manufacturer of hardware and software for industrial automation, remote monitoring, and data acquisition projects, has announced plans for expanded distribution of its product line, including its flagship SNAP PAC System, throughout China.
APT, currently with offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Chengdu and Guangzhou, has appointed Shen Yi from the Shanghai and Guangzhou sales offices, to Vice President of Opto 22 Operations for APT. APT President Pan Feng has tasked Shen with with doubling APT's sales force and increasing the company's presence in Chengdu, Shenzhen, Chongqing, and Shanghai.
"By 2008, we expect to double our presence to ten offices and our sales force to almost twenty direct account managers and 100 systems integrators-all largely focused on seeking out new applications and opportunities to promote, sell and implement Opto 22 products," says Pan.
In preparation for its upcoming expansion, APT plans on quintupling its stock of Opto 22 products. This will give the company greater autonomy and the ability to respond to customer needs much more expeditiously.
"With its increased inventory, APT will soon have the ability to ship Opto 22 product anywhere in mainland China within one business day," says Rene Gamero, Opto 22 Director of International Business Development. "The added inventory should prove useful for APT in simulating customer applications to provide faster, easier troubleshooting and product support."
Opto 22 will also be assisiting APT in establishing a Quality Assurance Laboratory-comprising the entire range of Opto 22 products-along with a fully equipped 10-student training facility at APT headquarters in Beijing. In this regard, APT and Opto 22 have already conducted a series of educational and SNAP PAC System training seminars throughout China , including Beijing, Shanghai and Nanjing. Future seminars are currently scheduled in Chengdu, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen.
